Hurricane Laura causes massive destruction in Lake Charles, GLHF forced to close indefinitely.

Here’s a little post-Laura update for everyone on Scion Esports and GLHF...

Our GLHF Gamers Lounge facility at the LAA complex took a lot of damage, as did our original home; the good ole’ conference room at Lake Charles Toyota, and the Game House is basically flattened. But we were able to save a lot of our equipment, and we have insurance coverage for the rest.

We’re down but not out. It’ll be a few months before we’re back in action but we’ll be back better than ever before too long! We’re not exactly sure what form GLHF is going to take going forward but we’re definitely committed to our gaming-focused partnership with Lake Area Adventures and so are they, so something will rise from the ashes for sure.

Louisiana High School Esports won’t really be able to come back until high school itself gets back to some normalcy around here, but regular Fight Clubs will be back as soon as possible somewhere, and we’ll definitely be bringing our A-game to CyPhaCon 2021. Within a month or so we should have a better feel for the exact condition of all our equipment and also the insurance situation we’re dealing with, so we’ll definitely be back with an update and the best esports productions in Louisiana as soon as we have more details.

GG everybody!
