BRANDING

We do our best to make the most of every opportunity to promote ourselves on the old interwebs. Sometimes that includes an opportunity to use styles, typesets, or graphics to represent our teams, organizations, or representatives. If you're looking for assets with which to represent us in tournaments, events, publications, etc., this should get you started.

Please use these assets freely, but please do not create other imagery or logos using our name or our “blade” logo. If you need something specific that you can’t find here, we’d love to create exactly what you need and send it to you ourselves so that we can be sure it fits your needs exactly and also matches our style.

Organization Logos

These should be used anytime the organzation Scion Esports is being used in a business context. Examples include sponsorship of an event, funder of a prize, producer of a tournament, etc.

Fonts

Whenever possible we like to use a limited number of typsets, which we think look sleek and sexy, and are particularly easy to read. If at all possible, please attempt to use the typesets when generating content on our behalf. They are generally all modern, sans serif, geometric designs, so anything that fits that aesthetic is probably fine if you can’t use these for whatever reason.

Toyota Type (Black/Bold/Light)

Calibri (All Styles)

Sofia Pro (All Styles)

Bank Gothic (Medium/Bold)

Colors

Here are the official Scion Esports colors. Please try to stick to representing us using these colors whenever possible. (White and black are perfectly fine of course.)

In-text References

When referring to Scion Esports in body text in any publication, please use the exact form “Scion Esports”. Although many common variations of the term “esports” have appeared in media over the years, we have established the “Big E, Little S, No Dash” as the form we prefer. This is the officially correct way to refer to our brand. When using the general term “esports” we prefer to stick with the Associated Press guidelines on using the term, but you’re free to use whatever you choose, as long as you do it our way when you’re referring to us directly.

‘Scion’ the pro team vs. ‘Scion Esports’ the organization

Since we wear many hats, sometimes fielding teams, sometimes organizing tournaments ourselves, sometimes sponsoring or powering tournaments for other organizations, we try to be consistent with how we brand oursevles when we’re wearing each hat. The simple thing to remember is that Scion is the pro team, Scion Esports is everything else. If we’re fielding a player or a team, where they specifically represent our organization; what we refer to as “flying our banner”, then we brand the team or player as “Scion”. If we are performing basically any other role in esports we brand ourselves as the organization “Scion Esports”.

Thanks for your support and your help with keeping our brand consistent across the many platforms upon which we are lucky enough to appear. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if there is any other element or format that you have need of. We’ll be happy to create whatever you need if it’s not available on this page or on the google drive link at the top.
